Cleeford, I'd love to see pics of your non-rotating titanium bolt handle. Any chance you can snap some pics and post them on this thread for all to see?

I prefer the three angled cuts to allow rotation and removal. That said, I wouldn't mind a lower "high edge" than the Brownells version to make the extraction of the bolt handle a bit more difficult to remove (and improve inadvertent removal). My $.02.

Yeah, just received one as well. They are nice although I would have liked a bit more attention to the inside color within the handle. While the outside is a perfect black, the inside is not really covered well and raw Ti is visible. That said, it is definitely a lot more comfortable and easy to use.

For the record, I emailed DMW through his website and it turns out his 1 piece tube is steel and not aluminum. His website still describes them as aluminum though although after looking at the one I received, it is definitely steel. Just wanted to clear that up. Hopefully DMW will correct his website description. So aluminum may not be an option anymore from any vendor that I can tell (which may be a good thing from the denting issue that many post about).

So I believe the DMW tube is aluminum.... I'm not sure if he made a steel one in the past but the description for his one piece tube now says aluminum and if the machining and color match is good, provides a nice value for $60. That said, the titanium version looks very good! I'm tempted there as well. I agree that staying away from steel would seem to be an easy decision although parkerized steel does provide adequate corrosion protection (and a painted surface does not provide great protection, especially if you can get the paint to chip off).

No problem. Thanks for the feedback! And to add a bit more, I'm surprised to hear that it is steel! While I know this is a heavy duty shotgun, my guess would have been aluminum for its corrosion resistance properties and lightness. Given its longer profile than an SBR for assault oriented activities, the swing weight seems to be something worth considering......

I think you missed my question. It wasn't "if" one was available it was "what kind of metal is it made of?" I realize the OEM one is spendy.

I've been reading about the various options for a full length Benelli M4 tube for a 11707 and it seems like the three best "U.S. made" options are either the SOCOMguy steel tube, DMW's 1 piece aluminum tube, or the titanium tube from the fella on gunbroker.com. For those that have purchased either or these, which one would you recommend to go with and why?

Is the Benelli OEM 7 shell full length tube for the 11707 M4 an aluminum or steel tube? I'm not talking about the aftermarket ones, just the original OEM version. Thanks..........
