  1. I thinking of a new autoloader. I field hunt Canada geese. My previous gun was a 3.5",and it gave me troubles. Does a 3.5" really offer that much more? I've heard they don't pattern aswell as 3" guns. With all the new ammo I was thinking maybe a 3" is just as good. Now I know a close range, probably no diff. However for those birds that don't commit too the spread;ranges are a bit longer. What do you guys think?

I was under the impression that the 3.5 diddent carry any longer they just had more pellets and more powder to carry the extra pellets .and my opinion is if you had a 3.5 why go back to a 3

  2. My first thought is..why did you not just purchase a camo'd Benelli in the first place? I guess I can see the need for camo in a hunting type situation, assuming this is what you need it for, but otherwise...I just dont see the need. If this is a personal defense shotgun, dont waste your time. Black, in this case, is much better imho. Actually, come to think of it, the blacked out look is better..regardless. Much more ominous and militaristic. Besides, can birds really tell the difference?
I personaly LIKE a camo duck gun and i think they can see the colors. in a marsh black would stand out a bit but thats my opinion and my preferance .
  3. I switched recently from #7 1/2 to #6 shot for my reloads, my Reuna is fixed full choke, #6's thinned the pattern a bit for close range work but still retains enough energy for longer range shots on Grouse & Varying Hare.

#5 or # 6 will work just fine on Partridge and Rabbit

  4. Dont get your panties in a knot they did this to me at first and like you i was defensive at first i said i was left handed so i couldent spell then i tried to tell them i was always drunk so i couldent spell , i dont think they bought that either so now i think they just put up with me because i think they know i respect most of their opinions . just know when you get defensive they will always throw your age back at you because they know it really bothers you,so take the critisizum with a grain of salt and if you do some day you will earn their respect , and never forgit when you ask an opinion you will get good and bad replies take both and learn Grashoper :D and fore anyone that still dosent like my spelling or grammer piss off im trying, but i have my drink in my left hand :p

  5. I walked in this morning and got putted at from over head. I found a place (quietly) to sit down and was 30 yards from a tom with about a 10" beard. When day broke he gobbled his head off for 30 minutes before pitching down. I could have pegged him with a 410 with #8's he was so close to me. Had my nerves tore up with all his tripple gobblin that he did.

I wouldn't shoot him (even after it was plenty of light) until he pitched down. He didn't see me, but he pitched toward a place that they have been feeding. Needless to say, I was unsuccessful in harvesting him.

I must admit, I sort of regret it now, guess I'm lookin for someone to say "ya did the right thing" :D

Ethical is what you consider a good and clean kill , with most of us its not really about the kill its what leads up to the kill and that is the Hunt and if it were always that simple it would be called a Grocery store ,well you know what i mean , Hats off to you you did the right thing , so keep doing what you do , and youll have no regrets when you look back .
  6. Yes Sir, I am... but here in Texas, we usually say "yepper!" Yea, I've been too hard on the young nipper. He has great enthusiasm and I should NOT dampen it one bit. He knows more about shotguns than I did when I was 14. I'll back off. Thanks for the "wake-up" call. I'll be nice from now on.

    translation in "text" language:

    sorryIwassuchajerk-facedgarbonzotwitbutIwilldobetter.

well yepper to you ,you add a lot to this forun to so keep up the good work and we will all do our part to keep everyone in line to some degree :D EH

  7. If you tell us "what you want" then why are you asking for suggestions? Are you 14 or something? And... Learn to use your Caps shift... this ain't texting. The standards for English language usage and punctuation was very well established before we were blessed with you.

now now were not all experts at spelling what are you a retired musician or sompthing :D

  8. i think the origional question was what gun to buy and he was left handed the VINNIE dosent come in left hand or does it , so if hes left handed we should try to point him in the direction of a left handed gun its no fun having the shells fly infront of your face or having the powder coming back in your face , so my advice would be the sbeII if your hunting turkey or geese fore the 3.5 or if its duck ,dove and such go with the m2 but that is just my opinion

  9. well we will have to add Dove to the watterfoul list do they decoy with teel or mallards :D GO Water swatters :) i dont believe it fore a minute TUCKER, there setting you up . i know you of all people wouldent put STICKERS on a hunting gun it just issent right

  10. im getting my vinci soon but i kinda want the team benelli sticker for the barrel do you think it would distract the ducks a spook them?

is the vinci you are getting in camo if so why wouuld you even want a sticker on your gun unless you were a sponserd shooter just buy the camo hat that says benelli or one that says vincie ,but if you really really want the sticker put it on but the ducks cant read :D

  11. well if your saying a feild gun is like a knife at a trap field than i must have a pretty sharp 870 becouse i can hit 25s with it:D

BLA BLA BLA Ge i wonder why there is such a thing then as a TRAP GUN, that 870 must be special i diddent say it wouldent break clays but how manny streight 100 have you run or 150 or 200 on a TRAP field with trap guns this is common thats all i was getting at sorry about the comparisons

  12. i figured that too i think people just are too into there special TRAP guns

There is a reason it is called a TRAP gun and there is a sporting clays ,and also a skeet gun you have a field gun that can be used fore all the other sports but you dont take a knife to a gun fight if you want to win :D thats it in a nut shell , and i like mine in a glass with ice

  13. your Left handed you dont have manny options ,i am left handed to and i hunt sea ducks and geese ,along with other ducks ,and the ocasional phesant , i usto shoot a right handed shotgun and i got sick of it ,but there wernt manny options out there , i did my research on the benellies i narrowed it down to the m2 ,or SBE II i cheaped out and baught the m2 left hand max 4 fore the sake of 2 or 3 hundred dollars well its been one year and guess what i just orderd the SBE II left hand in max 4 , that is what i should have done in the first place so learn by my mistake , unless you have no use fore the 3.5 loads , but that is only my opinion:eek:
