Another option would be the full length tube from Dave's Metal Works. I have one on my M4 and am very happy with the quality. At $60 you can't go wrong.

I already have an M4 with a full legth tube and collapsable stock. I agree that it would be MORE than up to the task. I need a target gun now.

Unfortunately it seems that there is not enough market to make the production of such "one off"' parts profitable, but I may be wrong. If we were discussing a Remington 870 or a Mossberg 500 it might be different. I have acutally considered contracting my local machinist to make some new parts. It all comes down to how much a person is willing to spend.

I will be purchasing a new shotgun for shooting targets this spring, and need some help determing which model is the best fit for my use. Here are the specs: 1. I am not a hunter. 2. I do not shoot competitively. 3. The gun will not see rain or other adverse conditions. 4. I have no need to shoot magnum loads. 5. The gun will have a walnut stock. I have narrowed my selection to M2 or a Montefeltro. What are to main differences between the models? Does one have an advantage over the other? Barrel length? I cannot speak for the original poster, but I see them all the time on GunBroker. Search for Benelli tube, and you will find what you are looking for. On a seperate note, if you have an M4 that originally came with a fixed pistol grip stock, the OEM recoil tube is milled in three positions for the collapsable stock. I only know this because I almost bought a new recoil tube, only to be informed by Benelli Tech Support that M4's without a factory skeletonized stock have milled recoil tubes.
