    My M4 Build

M1014----what kind of bolt release is that?? Looks like exactly what i'm looking for. And is that the polymer heatshield off ebay?
  3. My M1014 has some small scratches on the barrel. Is there any product out there that will at least make them less noticeable if not take them away. Its a little harder because its not black as are most guns.
  4. It could be that it isn't broken in yet. It looks barely used and i only put about 50 rounds through it. The jams experienced were the bolt would close quicker than the shell could eject and they were closing on the empties or the empty never actually ejected. It only happened about 4 times but i just wanted to see if it was normal. I'll lube it up and put some more rounds through it then report back. Another excuse to go to the range
  5. I just bought a benelli M1014 (for $1100 used:) and took it to the range for the first time the other day. I had some issues with loading when using low brass 2 3/4 field shot. It ran them ok for the most part but probably jammed about 5 times on me. Works flawlessly with more powerful loads but i was just wondering if this is a normal problem to have due to the low power of the load.
  6. Well I e-mailed surefire and the rep said the M80 rail without rail covers weighs 8.1oz. so the 8oz. i'll save once my titanium tube comes will counteract that. I like the simplicity in the single rail piece put onto factory handguard and wouldn't mind doing that i'm just a little nervous to start cutting up my handguard and have something go wrong. So far out of all of them i like the looks of the surefire the best but i'm not really sure what i'm going to do. The only thing i'm worried about with the M80 is the possibility of a ftf which i've heard could happen but never heard anyone say it happened to them so ??? And also the gases getting blown out to my hands. So if anyone has one installed and ran into either of those problems i'd love to hear about it.
  7. I've been doing some research in ways to attach a weapon mounted light to my M1014. So far the surefire M80 forend looks the best to me but people have been saying it has pitfalls. What are the pitfalls of this system and does anyone have one installed with pros or cons from their experience? I'd also like to hear some other suggestions to mount a light to my gun. I don't want to use a tube mounted system as i've had bad experience with them in the past.
  8. Do you still have the mount? I've been looking for a way to mount a streamlight tlr-1 on my M4. Do you think this would work? Does the set up on your other gun move at all. All my experience in these types of set ups the light and/or light mount have slid on the tube with shooting.
  9. I have a benelli m104 and am looking to swap out the stock tube so i can have my collapsable stock actually collapse! I recently found this site ww.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd.asp?chrProductSKU=983200&chrSuperSKU=&MC = but am not sure if i need the whole tube assembly for $98.25, or just the tube for $54.55. Also can anyone tell if that is a 3 position or a 2 position? I'm looking for a gunsmith to swap them out on my gun but am nervous having someone do it if they haven't done one before. I live in allentown, Pa does anyone know of a gunsmith close to me who has the ability to do this without messing up my gun?
  10. Any recomendations on other products?
  11. I was looking at Mesa tacticals sureshell shell holder. Does anyone have one installed or heard of anything good or bad? I've heard they had some problems with there first batches with the screws stripping the threads. They supposedly got new screws and the problem is fixed.
  12. I recently found this sight e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd.asp?chrProductSKU=983200&chrSuperSKU=&MC=which has the tube for a lot cheaper. 2 questions. Can anyone tell the difference between the two i'm not really sure why one is more than the other. Second does anyone know of a gunsmith who could take off the tube without damaging the gun to have my tube replaced.
  13. I wouldn't mind shipping it to someone i just don't know of anyone. I live in Allentown, PA so if anyone does this or knows someone else who does please let me know.
