  1. I want to have my black Vinci dipped with Mossy Oak Duck Blind. Here in Texas, we have early teal season in September when the mosquitos are thick. I use a deet solution to keep them off. I hear that deet will harm the camo finish. Does anyone have any experience with this?

  2. If mounted properly, the Vinci will shoot dead on. A little work @ the pattern board will prove that! I love my Vinci. I have a black one with 26" barrel. It is very well balanced and jumps to my shoulder with ease. I can't say enough good things about this gun.

  3. Life is too short to be shooting a gun that may be "good enough" but is not really a gun that you love to shoot. Save up for a Benelli (M2, SBE II, Cordoba or Vinci)! I love my Cordoba!!!

  4. I'm using the improved cylinder that came with the Vinci. Does anyone have any experience with Carlson's black cloud choke?

I need something to pattern well, fan out, because I need all the help I can get :-)

    anyone?

    thanks

IMO, the benelli ciro factory chokes work as good or better than any after market choke. If you don't belive me, take your gun to the patterning board and test your factory chokes. My IC & Mod chokes shoot a beautiful pattern at 30 yards with Kent #3 steel.

  5. Did your pop actually hunt and get some good use with this gun? If so, IMO, it would be pointless to set it in a gun rack, look at it and then spend money on another gun.

How many 1100's have sat rain soaked and muddy in duck blinds and briar patches, received a good cleaning/oiling and then performed like new, next time out.

If you get scratches or dings in it, so what? It's not worth a great deal of money. It's a gun that was meant to be used.

From a sentimental value, I can't imagine much better than carrying a fine shotgun that gave my father so many hours of joy.

    Fire up that smokepole!

    I agree 100%!

  6. anyone used both. i can get the american for $899 and $100 cabelas gift card back. is it worth the savings?

    Thanks

Wow, that would be a great deal! I like the looks of the M2 American.

  7. I've been dove hunting multiple times in Texas since Sept. 1st with my new cordoba 20ga. This is an awesome gun for doves. It is simply amazing how quickly you can get back on target if you miss on the first shot. The recoil with 7/8oz target loads is almost non-existent. I've shot about 15 boxes of shells so far with no jamming issues whatsoever. If you have any doubts about this gun, put them aside and go get it. You will not regret it! I'm going to use the cordoba for teal this weekend.

  8. I just bought two cases of B&P F2 Classic 20ga shells for my cordoba and I'm very anxious to give them a try on the doves! September 1st is just around the corner!!!

  9. I don't have either gun but I do have a 20ga Cordoba and I live this gun. I have a Beretta 391 that I use for duck hunting but this year I'm going to use the 20ga for ducks. This summer I patterened the hevi-shot 20ga 3" 1 1/4 oz loads with the Cordoba using the IC choke. What a beautiful pattern at 35 yards!! I would recommend the 12ga Cordoba in Max 4 which is a beautiful gun.
