Not necessarily, you can use the tail cap switch with your thumb. That's how I run my AR. This just saved me from buying the Surefire. Thank you!!

Alright, I ordered and received a new C stock from HK. I'm attempting to put this on a M1014. And when I went to put it on, it locks in a 45 degree position fully extended and will not collapse at all. My question is, are there different recoil tubes? There are no lines on the tube as described in the PDF so I'm just wondering am I A) that retarded as to get my ass kicked by a stock (possible) or B) are there different tubes- and if so where do I get the right one.

The last time I looked around for collapsible stocks they were in the $650+ range. I just came cruising in here and I just want to make SURE this is the SAME stocks now for $250? What happened while I was gone?? If its the same then happy birthday to me!!
