  1. My 24" supernova has arrived at my rfd and I'm thinking about a tactical light.

I love the streamligt TLR-1, but I'm not sure it will mount easily as I am not going to have an extended mag tube on this gun. They're also very expensive over here.

Can anyone recommend a good value light that is likely to be available in the uk for sensible money?

I'd also welcome mounting suggestions. I've got the pistol grip version, which in the uk comes with a drilled receiver unlike the confortech model (daft how spec changes between countries, as I understand all your s/n have drilled receivers).

I thought about the mesa tactical shell holder with the rail on top, but I'm not sure if this will obscure the sighting bead. I believe this wouldn't provide a place for a light that can be easily operated.

Any help with this issue would be great.

Are there any after market ghost ring sights that don't require a smith to attach?

I have an earlier post on a similar matter, but it's not produced any final solution and I'm hoping a new thread may bring more advice.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  2. Getting a standard supernova in 2+1 capacity, so it won't have a magazine extension tube. I can't have one on this shotgun.

Does anyone know of a way of attaching a light so it can be operated by hand whilst holding the for-end?

I'm thinking about a streamlight TLR-1 or 2, because of the rocker type switch.

Is there anything else out there at a better price, but with a similar switch?

I've seen the mesa tactical barrel clamp, but I wondered what other options there are.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. It handles nice. If I was to buy a pump gun, it would be at the top of the list.

I thought you couldn't even have a love gun in the UK?

Not sure what a 'love gun' is.

We can have multishot sotguns, but they are held on a firearms licence rather than a shotgun licence.

We have 2 systems; 1 for firearms and one for shotguns.

Shotguns can be held on shotgun certificate as long as they are only max 2+1 capacity.

  4. so do you now think the pistol grip is better than the comfortech?

i'm trying to decide whether to buy the comfortech stocked version and then buy a pistol grip stock for it

OR buy with pistol and then buy a comfortech stock.

i'm thinking cheaper to buy with comfortech and add p/g as c/t very expensive, p/g about $150.

    anyone done it this way?

  5. Thinking of a supernova in 12g and really like the pistol grip stock. Would I be better off buying it with the comfortech stock and then adding a pistol grip later?

Is the comfortech stock a much more expensive option than an aftermarket pg stock?

I have an M2 with the c/t and like it very much, but would like the option of a p/g for the supernova and it would be great if the p/g would also fit on my M2.

Is there an aftermarket p/g that will fit both?

    Use will be vermin control.

Anyone got a view or advice?

    Thanks for looking.

  6. As above, as new.

Beautifully made genuine factory magazine extension tube with longer spring, tube end cap and barrel clamp.

Tube has a sling plate which can be mounted in 3 different positions (left, right and below the bore). Very easy to fit.

One nut without sling plate and a brand new one from GMK with the sling plate fitted.

When mounted approx 1" shorter than my 24" barrel .

    Convert your 3+1 M2 into a 9+1.

    £110.00 posted. Advertised elsewhere.

tube is very high quality as you would expect.

Pics to follow here's the link: http://www.benelli.it/Articoli/Armi.asp?ID=33

Go to accesories and scroll right to the tubes. It's the longest one Benelli do.

  7. im quite sure IF anyone here had an M2 with mods they'd speak up. so that should tell you they are not being rude, they most likely dont own an M2 mod'd out!!;)

I never take offence at the lack of a response on a forum.

I appreciate that members have lives, etc and that sometimes my posts are a little oblique or highlight an area which has no immediate answer. But thanks Texas for clarifing.

I think it's mainly for practical shotgun comps and there are people over here who do that.

The M2 seems pretty much sorted in any event, but I know how you lot love your extras.:D

If only we could have M4's then it would be a different story!

Thanks for all the info, I'll post anything useful I find here.

  8. The M4 tends to be the focus of most of the modifications. I have to admit being an M4 bigot as well. I honestly don't recall many pictures posted of tricked out M2s (could be selective memory). Good luck with your M2 project and be sure to post pics if you find the perfect rail mounted cup holder!

Cheers mate. God bless you americans for driving most of the innovations in weapon technology.:)

You lot want it and the rest of us get the crumbs off your table, for which we are eternally grateful.:D

I'm sure I've read about swapped out bolt handles and a mod to the shell plate carrier then stops it snagging your fingers on loading.

I'm interested if any of you guys use the trulock choke tubes for hunting for foxes/coyote? If not what choke do you use?

  9. I don't know much about UK laws but you might want to check to see if it is legal to have a full length (or just longer) tube on the gun before you go through the trouble of taking yours off.

That's right, anything more than 2 shells in the magazine and it's no longer on a shotgun certificate, you need a slot on your firearms certificate.

    Good luck with your sale.
