  1. OK, more confusion from the newest Vinci owner!

    Choke tubes - on the Benelli website, I see, A B C D E F ---

Mine came with C,IC,M,IM,F - uh, so what are the IC, M, IM? Is there anyplace that tells me what each choke is used for?

Take a look in your manual, it should tell you there. But they stand for, improved cylinder, modified, and improved modified. They should have notches in them as well, c has 5 on down to full, with 1 notch. The less notches the tighter the pattern. They should also indicate on the side whether or not there ok to use with steel shot.

  2. I'm sure you're right - but I'm a GIRL and heck, guns can be scary! ;)

I'm not skeert of my S & W J frame though, well not much - that little sucker DOES kick like a rented mule.

Just shoot the damn thing! Stay away from the real hard kicking stuff and you will no doubt enjoy every minute with that vinci. I have shot all sorts of 12 ga loads and aside from a few magnum slugs and turkey loads, none of it kicks to bad. Start out with the light trap loads. If you have a few FTE, you just might have to suck it up and shoot a couple hundred high dram rounds through it to get that thing cycling like a champ. Just go shoot!

  3. Come help me - I'm skeert! ;)

Our gunsmith has kindly offered to take the husband and me out to a private ranch for some skeet shooting, for a little lesson or two.

    THAT ought to de-skeer me.....

That sounds like fun! There's nothing to be scurred of...

  4. WRONG! We will never own one with the exact same serial number as M1014. This is likely a limited edition 1 of 250 breaching gun set. That box is probably fine hardwood with the Benelli logo lovingly affixed with the finest French Papier-mâché! I'm sure when he flips it over you will see the fine engraving of dead terrorists resplendent on a field of more dead terrorists (and possibly a duck in flight...Predator Drone more likely). The steel for this gun was created from the first Benelli motorcycle which was removed from the Italian National Archives and melted down just for this limited edition. The gun itself was presented to M1014 by Tonino "the terrible" Benelli the famous motorcycle racer who was exhumed and cloned especially for the presentation ceremony.

YOU MERE MORTALS WILL NEVER OWN A GUN LIKE THIS!!!!

    Well crap.

  5. I like those Raven holsters since you can keep the light attached. I have always used these

And I had this one for my USP Tactical

Holsters are a very preferential thing. You cant just pick one to do everything you want. It all depends on what your intended use for the gun is and how you want to carry it.

  6. lets dream even more. How about a good varmint caliber like 22-250. Or something for REALLY DANGEROUS game like gophers or ground hogs. (not dangerous you say--go ask a horse). We can dream all day but seriously if Benelli is listening I think a .243 would be a great seller. If you're all willing lets take a vote. Who would like to see a 243 offering?

As far as I know, Benelli doesnt monitor these forums in any official capacity. .22-250 is a great caliber, It will be one of my next purchases.

  7. I love it but I carry my desert tan USP compact over it. Ive had 2 FTFs in about 1000rnds vs zero in my HK so thats more than enough reason for me to pick the HK. Im sure the FTFs where caused by me "limp wristing" it but I dont want to take the chance.

Yeah that's what I have been worried about. I shot thousands of rounds through my USP tactical .45 and never had a ftf. Shot 5 mags through a full size Covert II and had 2. Its possible they were my fault but I doubt it. I'm leaning towards a .357 sig P2000sk.

  8. Nice little collection, we've got similar taste! I need to get a couple group pictures of my Camo M4, DFE 6.8 LWRC and Kimber UCII Covert 1911.

I dont wanna hijack this thread but....How do you like your Covert Ultra? I am thinking about getting that as my concealed carry gun. Either that or an HK
