When making adjustments to the pad, I recommend holding the pad with a wrench on the flats. This will take the load off of the pressed in place button.

Another worthy consideration would be to upgrade the bolt release pad as seen HERE.

I'd be extremely cautious about that and take the appropriate prudent measures, scam artists routinely post on TGT.
Check GB for the same exact photo from another seller's listing.
That's an obvious tip-off that's it's bogus.

Is your M4 a 11717 or a 11707?

Are the magazine cap retaining pin and spring both present?

Shooting fast is fun and showing off the capabilities of the weapon and how it and you handle recoil.
You should really be trying never to lock the bolt back on your M4. If you're not shooting, you should be reloading. The only thing I could see doing a mag dump on is a bear/wild animal where you're stuck waiting for the thing to be within 50 feet before you start putting a wall of lead between you and it. You probably shouldn't have the M4 if you're in bear country anyway. At the very least, it should be filled with slugs. Maybe full of those steel Duplex Hexolite32 slugs. I don't know, not many bears in Arizona.
Wild animals, and of course... zombies!!!

The armor black has a nice matte finish to it.
It's Cerakote H-190+ ? + limited hardener.The first application had a semi-gloss finish which was completely refinished with what you see.
Do emphasize the matte finish to your applicator.
