Thanks! Wasn't sure if it was the same bolt just different material...so I guess it would cross over if it was a supersport vinci to a regualr vinci as opposed to the super version.

hey guys, I noticed that the Vinci super sport shows that it has a "speed bolt" that is lighter and will cycle lighter 7/8 oz loads. At the moment I am using my super vinci to shoot clays, and while i love my gun, on occasion, it has a tendancy to not cycle 1oz loads and even the recommended minimum 1 1/8 load (yes i broke it in and have had it almost 2 yrs), which can be frustrating shooting clay games. Id really rather not buy another separate gun for clay games (supersport or an o/u) since i already dropped 1700+ on this thing in the first place. Question is - can i buy and switch out my stock super vinci bolt for this regular vinci supersport "speed bolt" ? Is it even possible to switch out (will it fit) and would they even sell the part separate? If it works as advertised it may help with my issue...although im sure if i bought a supersport id be having the same issue with 7/8 loads. thanks, jonathan

wonder how it compares with the SBEII in speed/reliability?...i know i had issues cycling the 2 3/4 minimum load (and even heavier 2 3/4 loads) in my vinci for months til recently

I mean obviously they had this in the works from the beginning. The under-produced the first one and were back-logged with people trying to get one, now there are an overabundance and stores are trying to get rid of them. They never did produce accessories - which makes me wonder will this Super Vinci fall in line with how the first one was handled? Under-produced at first, no accessories, etc. Guess im hot cause i almost didnt get the vinci and chose the SBEII ..kinda wishing i got the SBEII or waited til now to get the super v.

Ugh.....like many Vinci owners im a bit irritated after the release of this. Dont get me wrong, I love my gun, but i mulled over Vinci vs SBEII for months and felt the vinci was more comfortable. Still no accessories for it after waiting for months (unlike in Italy where you can get different colors/cheeck comb/pistol grip), was told by CS that accessories were on tap (and never materialized) and now this - errrrggg !! I guess i shoulda seen that coming though...its all about marketing. Benelli got my $1400 and because im erked might get $1700 for the new one :-), crap. Its kinda like when Chevy had the extended cab truck in the early late 80s with the "3rd" door..then a couple of years later i guess some designer said "oh wait why dont we have an extended cab with 4 doors". Marketing ploy, then the 3 door models were worth nothing on trade or private sell. Maybe i can get rid of my Vinci for an year or two old SBE II slug pistol grip version in Adv. Timber....oh wait, prolly not...those SBEII owners are probably happy with thier gun/access. If i wasnt bald i woulda ripped my hair out lol....oh well there is my rant, i feel better now..sorta.

i guess in europe they have all the accessories and different colors...i woulda gotten the desert dune color if it was here in the US. Also check the recoil pads, cheek pads and yes a pistol grip for the vinci...pretty sweet. 1. did the SBEII have this issue as well when it came out? 2. to everyone that says your gun is fine--how long until it was broken in? or did it do fine right out of the box?

im hoping mine will do better...im at better than 7 boxes of loads that are at least or exceed what they say will cycle and still having issues...sooo not sure how many boxes this b.s. break in period is gonna take. My buddy is reloading some hotter 1 1/8 oz loads so that may work better than the cheapy wins but when they state the minimum, i use it, and it still doesnt cycle every time its a concern.

problem cycling is getting better..went to the trap/skeet range today, went through 5 boxes - eating up the rest of the cheapy loads - and things were better but still problems ejecting...5 boxes and maybe 7 fail to fully eject shots..better than yesterdays 2 boxes and 11 problems so i think it is working itself out.

ive had feed problems but im not through the break in period yet and the problem is getting better slowly...same here with the finger issue, shot a slug the other day and it wacked my index finger pretty good.

Ok...so here is what happened to me today. Im optomistically chalking this up to "it needs to be broken in", but was irritated to say the least. I finally went out and cracked off a few in my new Vinci i got a couple of days ago. I know that there is a supposed "break-in period" but not really sure how many boxes would end up breaking it in, so i bought some cheap ammo ($9 a box--yes thats cheap here unfortunately). I wiped it down, put a few drops of the oil they included with the gun in various spots and got to it. I shot through 2 boxes of cheap light load stuff. Winchester # 8 shot 2 3/4" 1 1/8 oz 1200fps....through 50 shots of those i had 11 cycling issues. Some did not eject fully (9) and some didnt cock the pin even though the bolt had shut (2). I ran some reloads my buddy had done...quality Rem hulls 7.5 shot 2 3/4" 1 1/8 oz shot. Shot 10 of those with 3 eject problems. Shot 4 rounds of #4 3" steel..those did fine. Shot 2 slugs and 3 00 buck and those did fine. That being said..when it did work it worked nice, kick wasnt bad, and when i got on it and it didnt F' up it cycled wicked fast. Still a bit dissappointed but holding out for a few more boxes. Im going to shoot skeet and trap at a club tomorrow so i hope that was a decent enough break in once i CLP it tonight ...if not I guess ill be embarrassed with my nice new $1400 gun (crossing fingers!).

For all the Vinci owners that might have been wondering like me if things fit and if there are accessories available....I finally got an answer from Benelli CS on a few questions on my new Vinci i recieved the other day--glad its finally here BUT.... I had ordered a Benelli raised comb from Brownelle's ($122 for a piece of rubber) and they said it would fit any Comfort Stock gun from Benelli beacuse thats what it said on box (which it does say that). On their website though it does state SBEII, M2, etc, so i was kind of expecting what I got and low and behold it didnt fit, sent it back. Emailed Benelli to find out which part number will fit a Vinci and where i could get one (Part number I had that doesnt fit is 81044P-so dont order it vinci owners)... the response was: it does not fit..to date we have not gotten any replacement/accessory combs for the Vinci..and will not have any for some time...they are different from the SBE2/M2 series I also emailed about a Steady Grip stock for the Vinci since now they offer it on an APG gun but apparently you cant order it as a separate accessory or in black/max4, and same with the regular stock. Response was : "We have no timeline for that....as of right now it is not being offered" So as far as Steady Grips go - only on APG model, but then you cant order a normal APG stock because there arent any replacement parts out there as of yet unless you find one used--which would be doubtful. If you have Max4 (like me) or black your screwed and on their timeline on actually getting stuff to the consumer. As far as raised combs go..the part number above doesnt fit the "Vinci's" comfort tech stock because its different, despite the name. I am about to find out if a limbsaver for an SBEII will work soon, maybe someone on here has already checked that one out? I also wanted a slug barrel...but didnt even go there with CS since im pretty sure i know the response on a timeline for that. Hopefully they will get these items squared away soon, but the fact that customer service is deflecting questions and dates is a little concerning. Waiting on parts is neither "innovative or revolutionary", especially when they hype up a gun like they did the vinci. After all this frustration i shoulda just bought a SBEII...but its possible when the SBE/II came out people were waiting on parts as well?? Guess ill sit and wait. Ok im done with that rant, just wanted to inform the vinci owners of what not to order or try to order for now...cause they aint got it and dont know when they will.

Im about to find out the answer on friday when mine arrives. I have read some of the same things on the internet as well. I went out and bought a brick of 2 3/4" winchester crap 8 shot and some estate 8 and 7.5...Im sure you will have some sort of answers before then but ill let you know. Ive heard there is a break-in procedure in the manual so ill check that out and follow it as not to jack up the experiment so i can give accurate info. Where I live I have an extremely difficult time finding premium grade ammo of any kind of any brand...so im hoping my gun blows through the cheap stuff without issues, cause thats all thats available here. I am sure that anything you buy with moving parts has the ability to be a "lemon" but the one dealer you talked to, if he really had all those returned to him...thats scary...but then again, unless you 100% trust him, id take it with a grain of salt.

Benelli's website shows you can order the vinci in apg steadygrip nowadays...but they dont have it listed as an accessory...anyone know when it will be available and why they have yet to show a black or max4 in it?

are the multi chokes or aftermarket stuff overrated then, or the crio's that the gun comes with that good ?

Hey, the Vinci is headed my way and just wondering what you guys use or wouldnt use as far as chokes. For Turkey im leaning toward Primos Jellyhead or Kicks Gobbler Thunder, Geese/ducks Kicks High Flyer. I was really wanting a Truglo Titan - but they dont make one that fits the Vinci.....Poly Choke i think does but not sure how well these multi chokes really work...my dad has a factory one on his 1950's Savage bolt action 12 ga that is really cool. It would be nice to have a multi choke as to not have to keep up with several tubes, and my hunting area has pig, goat, sheep year round that run into turkey and general bird seasons so having a versitile choke (patterns/slugs/steel) would be nice without having to switch, but id go with whats best if these multichokes arent that great.

i saw something called "gun scrubber" in the store today...says its safe for camo guns..its synthetic oil..but yea im with u, i almost afraid to use anything.

im about to get my camo vinci next week and was wondering what people use to clean the outside of the gun. I have read where you have to be selective on what you choose so it doesnt eat away at the film on the gun. Maybe a better question is what not to spray the outside with. thanks

Is there any ballistics data supporting that the 28" is any better than the 26". I have a Rem 300 ultra mag with a 26"bbl and I know that every inch you shave off the barrel effects the speed....same with the shotguns i assume with the 3 1/2 mag shell. I would want the better performing barrel but not sure its actually worth it having to lug around a bigger gun....any thoughts?

Hi, Im about to buy a supernova in adv Max4 color and was wondering - anyone seen a red dot sight or scope that is in Max 4 color? I see that they have one for the APG HD but havent found one for the Max4 pattern. Also, do they make a magazine extension in the Max 4 color? All i can find is black and im sure a couple of years ago i saw where benelli made the different pattern color extension tubes. Im not sure why they wouldnt offer these items in the matching color since they do for the APG.
