  1. What type of foregrip do you use on your shotgun? Do you like it or do you wish you would have gone with something else? I want to buy one for my M4 but not really sure if I should go with a short one ( 3-4") or a longer one (5+"). This is going on my M4 SBS. I am thinking short but not really sure what brand will give me a strong hold. Thanks for the help.

  2. Miller Rod and Gun has them for $1455 on sale right now. http://www.millerrodandgun.com/shotguns-Benelli_01.htm

Shooter jaxs has them for $1529 but will match others prices if I am not mistaken. Glen's army navy store will order you one for $1482. Like I said you just have to look around and make some calls. But there are lots of them out there. I have also seen them sell on GunBrokers for $1400 NIB. But if i was going to buy one I would get Unobtanium's for $1525. It has all the bells and whistles for just a few bucks more. If I had the money that's the one I would get. With all the upgrades you get for free on his , who cares about a box. But that's my opinion.

And before you ask, the only one I have ever bought from is Shooters. I have called and talked to the others earlier this year but ended up buying a M4 SBS from Shooters for $1700.

  3. I have seen some wild price swings in the last few months. Unobtanium had one for around $1800 a few weeks ago, not sure if he sold it. But it was one **** of a deal. I have also seen them go for around $2000. I wouldn't say they are scarce. There are plenty of places on line to buy them and at very good prices. There are other places cheaper than Buds. You just have to look. But yours is already put together and in a very desirable configuration. So if you don't need the money I would say around $2000 easy.

  4. If I am not mistaken any shotgun with a barrel under 18" with a shoulder stock is considered an SBS. Maybe someone can verify that for me. But you are correct that it still needs to be over 26" in total length. The C-stock doesn't lower the gun below that so you should be safe. I was only adding that if you made the barrel shorter then you would cross over into the NFA realm. I live in Texas so I don't know Michigan laws. But I think you should be able to own anything you want as long as you are a law abiding U.S. citizen. It seems a great shame that states like yours, California, and others don't let you have what other states let their people have.

  5. Unobtanium is right. I would definitely get me a new Class 3 dealer. I can understand making a profit, but 2-3 times the retail price is a little too high for a gun that is still being made. But that's just my opinion.

  6. I would call around and see about ordering a 14" SBS. Call Shooterjaxs in Florida. That's where I got mine 4 or 5 months ago. It was only $1731 delivered with insurance. You will be talking to Michelle in the Class 3 department. She is really cool and will call Benelli directly to see if they have any. They may have one in stock. Don't forget to ask for the Class 3 department. Anyone else you talk to won't have a clue since these are not in their computer system like regular non-NFA items. You may already know this but it will take a month or two for the transfer to your FFL and then a couple of months for the Tax stamp. Hope this helps...

  7. I think we have a new show idea for VH1, MTV, Fox, or one of those other networks. They can go around to each one of our homes and see our saddly stock gun and by the end of the show they can pay to have every mod available put on it or upgrade the gun and watch how we cry and thank our family when we take the blind fold off. We can have a guy go from a Maverick Model 88 12GA $200 to a Benelli M4 with all the Mods $4000. We are talking lazers, strobe lights, C-stocks, custom painting, etc. It would be a hit. It couldn't be any worse than watching Sons of Guns.

  8. True, I would have to agree with Strangers good advice. It never hurts to protect your self just in case. And if they both cost the same then why not. I think you might even save some money and time. The FFT looks just like the original and your one step closer to 992.

  9. From what I was told by my attorney, you are not subject to 922 if your weapon is NFA registered. You still have to carry your form 4 with you while transporting the weapon. All the feds want is to know you are a Trustee of the weapon, that you have the tax stamp, you can prove who you are, and that you have your form 4. You have to remember that police are not lawyers or experts in the law. ****, half don't know anything beyond simple traffic law. You may come across one that wants to be an @ss and feels he will be top cop of the day by taking you to jail, but you won't stay very long. Unless you do something stupid like run, fight, spit, or shoot at him. Which case you might end up dead or wish you were. I keep a copy of my Trust, Form 4, valid I'D, tax stamp, my attorneys business card with phone number, and good manners when I take my SBS anywhere. Most of the time they will ask to shoot it if you are at a range. Some may offer to buy, but they always try to low ball you. Has anyone else here had anything different happen to them?

  10. I am sure they changed things just enough to call the system their own. Or they copy someone else's and deal with the law suit years down the road and of course settle for pennies on the dollar. That is the American way.

  11. What size drill bit did you end up with for the final hole size? It seems like I a lot of trouble but I guess if you get it right then it will look cool but if you go to large on the hole then you basically screwed the pooch on your C-stock. I guess I will keep what I have now and just mount the sling to the back of the stock. I just think yours looks cleaner and better. I wonder why they don't mention the install drilling on the web site? thanks for saving me some money.

  12. Stranger Danger,

Is it hard to install the Mesa Tactical Rear Sling QD Mount. I want to get one for my M4 SBS w/ C-stock. The hole does not look that wide. Do you push out the split pin and just install the steel bolt? Am I correct in assuming that you don't have to drill or modify to install? Has anyone tried the Sling loop from Mesa that was not push button and which do you prefer?

  13. I got mine from Shooterjax. But I have to say it was a long wait. Eight weeks for the transfer and then a couple of months for the BATF to clear the NFA GUN TRUST which cost a few hundred. But now I can buy class 3 items. Oh, and the $200 tax stamp for each item. I personally don't mind waiting. I have other toys that I can play with while I wait. That is why people who have them sell them for so much more. Its not just the weapon, its the time and extra price you pay to own it. Not to say its a valid excuse to charge double. I personally would not sell mine. Plus they are hard to find. Sure you can spend $1600 on a 18" one and spend $300 having it cut down, $200 on having it registered, $300-500 for the NFA GUN TRUST and hopefully your fab guy doesn't screw it up. I personally would wait for the factory one but like I said earlier I have other toys I can play with.

  14. Based on the date codes, if i am not mistaken, the M4 was made in 2005 and the M1 in 1992. You would have to state the condition of the guns. How often were they used? If they have only a few round through them but poorly stored that would be a problem. How about you post some clear pics and a starting price and people can go from there. I have seen lots of people think they have nice weapons but heavy use and wear reduces the price. Be honest and ask yourself how much would you pay for the guns if you saw them posted for sale. Hope this helps.

  15. I bought mine about a week or two ago and it was perfect. He shipped it on Monday and I had by Wednesday. Very professional service. He also helped with several questions that I had. I would recommend him to anyone and the price was great. Thanks for all your help HK.
