  1. I talked to my Benelli rep, and he said that they use a hydro dip developed by Vanguard(?) He was told that they never gave them (Benelli) any technical info as to the heat resistant qualities.
  2. I tried googling what kind of coating they use for the desert camo but no luck.
  3. Just my $0.02, but I don't think they would put a coating on their firearms that wasn't heat resistant. Duracoat's Duraheat is resistant up to 1800 degrees, while Cerakote is up to 1200 degrees.
  4. Just so you know guys, the Mesa Sidesaddle is cut high enough on the bottom of the saddle so you can access the trigger group pin. So you don't have to take it off to access it. Here's a side view of the sidesaddle. There is a very slight gap between the receiver and the saddle. Mesa Tactical sends you a custom-cut piece of double-sided adhesive foam tape to keep the sidesaddle from marring your receiver. The gap is due to their allowance for the tape.
  5. The Mesa tacticals are yes, if you scroll down a few threads you can see a picture of the 6 shell sidesaddle on my M4. If you want any more detailed pics let me know. Ill be happy to post them for you.
  6. I've had mesa sidesaddles on both my M3 and my current M4. Love em to death. The elastomere retention band is ingenious, and holds them nice and secure. As the previous poster said, removable shell caddies are a lot better for competition, but you cant beat having extra rounds ON the weapon.
  7. You make an excellent point, however, Amsdorf does NOT need to reiterate his same points incessantly, and then post his video on other threads when his thread is directly below it. ALSO some of you other numbnuts need to stop egging him on causing him to CONTINUE posting. I love to read a good debate on different methods, but not when you spend 5 pages of the thread talking about how fat and gay eachother is.
  8. Whyyyyyy? The AFG is designed for rifles. You don't hold a shotgun the same way man. I guess to each his own, you'll see. Not getting on your case either, just wasn't designed for that and I think you'll regret it.
  9. Well thank you! I didn't know this existed. Thanks much!
  10. How do you lose a grip on that thing? Especially with your bear paws?
  11. Picked one of these up the other day until I can order a CarrierComp one. Fit was excellent and it has a nice, knurled finish. Cons are that it spins freely while installed, and it weighs twice as much as the stock charging handle. I like the look of it though and even though it spins freely, it works great. I'm going to the range on Wednesday, so i'll have a full range report on how it affects cycling with lighter loads and also on how well my earlier stippling job on the forearm worked out.
  12. Wow.....this thread is.....wow....
  13. So how much larger than the stock release is it and how do I get one?
  14. Alright Uno, how much?
  15. DMW Speedbar or GG&G Tactical Bolt Pad ? Pros and cons of each please only if you have experience with them. I know the prices so no need to comment on that. Thanks guys!

  17. Sorry guys, bad news. My supplier is out of stock and won't be getting any more in.
  18. Lmao, nice haha!
  19. Hey guys, I can get them for $55. Let me talk to my supplier and see what kind of numbers I can round up.

Thanks guys. Case, I really don't foresee it wearing out as all it's doing is raising edges of the polymer up. But if that does happen, I guess I can re-stipple it.

Ok, so I finished one side. I just did the ribs of the forearm. I think i'm going to stick with just this until I get a chance to shoot it again this weekend and see what kind of grip improvement it gives me. Still turned out good, and it looks better IMO. Soon as I finish the right forearm panel, i'll put em back on the M4 and take a pic of it. Pics came out a little blurry, i'll take better ones this afternoon.
