i made the same mistake, but i was able to put it on and take it off several times. the fore end is a bit big for it so you would have to force it, no damage to the gun just your fingers. buy it for the phantom, legacy, m1, and the monte. those are the only benelli's it will fit fine for. heres the fit sheet.
