  1. Birchwood Casey is now offering it's Save-It Shell Catcher in a left hand version...YEA! I have one on my LH Beretta a400...works great and took all of 15 seconds to install.
  2. I agree. I didn't know this was a period piece before I commented.
  3. Wood is for elegance...doesn't work for this style gun...IMO. No offense intended.
  4. I put a snap cap in my new Monty and dry fired it to relieve the spring pressure before breaking it down to clean it at a later date. I managed to jam the bolt mechanism trying to seat the barrel back onto the receiver. I should have left it cocked and opened the bolt using the release with the gun on safety...kinda what the manual says. I don't use snap caps anymore or dry fire (for that matter) before breaking down to clean. It was operator error on my part that caused my problem. It probably has nothing to do with the OP's problem.
  5. I'd send it back with your complaint. They should be able to immobilize the gun and with a muzzle loaded bore sight confirm your findings. The fix is their call, of course. If they don't stand behind the product, take it to a certified gunsmith and have him do the same and document it. Then, it's a letter from a lawyer that gets the proper attention. Sorry and good luck.
