  1. Swapped in the 65mm shim, what a difference! Pretty much shoots to the same POI as my other shotguns, target just over the bead (I much prefer to see the entire target when I pull the trigger). It is a joy to carry, and if I do my part, it reliably does it's part!
  2. I will look at swapping the shims after this weekend, I won't have time to shoot it before my teal hunt Saturday.
  3. I will try switching to the 65 shim, as it has the 60 installed from the factory. I love hunting with this shotgun, and look forward to many years of use.
  4. As I am new to the Benelli shim system, if my gun is patterning high, would I increase or decrease drop?
  5. It is the way Europeans prefer to shoot, mine I have to put a considerable gap between the bead and the bird. My old trap shotgun was also designed for the bead to be below the bird, but it was literally a perch, not a gap.
  6. I purchased a Super Black Eagle 3 the last weekend of August, mine definitely shoots high, at least 80/20. I have run about 200 or so rounds through it at clay pigeons, and I have to float the birds quite a bit or I shoot over them. Love the shotgun, haven't messed with the drop shims yet, as I need to do more research on which way I would need to go, Also thinking about installing a slightly larger front bead. Worst case, I shoot enough clays so that the POI becomes second nature. I purchased this shotgun for waterfowl and upland hunting primarily, clay pigeons are just an incredibly fun distraction.
