Per B&T, the gap is “supposed to be there”. Worth noting is that the hand guard itself doesn’t even sit flush with the receiver. I’m thinking this is just a faulty piece, as I’ve seen many M4s with this hand guard sit nice and flush. still need to go to the range and fire.

Literally placed it on and removed the same day. Perfect condition. Looking to go with the 6 shell. I can do local meet up or ship. Located in Atlanta. Paid $135. Letting it go for $90 + shipping

Ouch. Curious if the exposed areas are now susceptible to rust or any kind of corrosion? Is it possible to get it refinish?

Greetings all! I’ve been a long time lurker; learning and admiring everyone’s M4 build. I finally got my hands on an H2O and joined the forum. The issue I’m having is with the B&T hand guard. The seat ring on the barrel doesn’t sit flush against the receiver. The gap is very small, but still concerning. I’ve taken it apart several times to ensure everything is in place. Is this a common issue with this hand guard? Anything to be concerned about?
