  1. Tx for that. I went with the Vickers and it works great with the OEM rings.
  2. I mean no offense but why on God's green Earth would Benelli design the front sling attachment larger than the through stock rear attachment on my M4 with solid stock? I bought a 1 1/4 inch Magpul from Amazon after measuring the front attachment and had to send it back. PIA. Has anyone found one that works? I've added a Streamlight with offset mount and a Romeo green dot. I want to get the 8 round extended tube but the dang things getting heavy for my 77-year-old torso to lug around. I want to use the pre-installed mounts. Any help greatly appreciated.

  4. Just returned a nice para cord sling from Amazon. Just don't fit the indented rear stock mount. Anyone find one that works? Also is it a worthwhile endeavor? Thanks
  5. The oem choke has 3 notches and no other markings. I plan on doing clays as well as s/d. Question is, do I need a different choke for each? For s/d #4 buck @ 1 3/4 oz (so I don't accidently shoot the neighbors through our sheetrock walls and 1 oz. slugs cycle fine It seems difficult to find 1 1/8th oz 7.5 shot. I tried 3/4 oz and it wouldn't cycle will the readily available 1 oz #7.5 reliably cycle my M4? Spent some quality time today cycling by hand 1000 times after disassembling and lubing. Learned that an aftermarket thingie to make this chore more comfortable will be an asset. OUCH! Will the action loosen up and accept lighter loads in time? Thanks for your help and patience. Roufus
  6. Sorry for the Newbe questions. So if I get iwc it has two mounting rails but I loose the sling my? Can a light and green laser both be accommodated? What do you do for a sling mount? tx Roufus
  7. I'm brand new to shotguns and my m4 has only seen a box of slugs so far, Purchased it for HD so, like you a light will be helpful but I think a green laser would make for faster off shoulder target acquisition. Plus the ability to fire without a guided tour of where your face is. LOL I bought the solid stock model because it fit me better than the skeleton. Let me know how you make out and I will do likewise. Glock 39, 26 and 44 Roufus
  8. The official Benelli cleaning kit reminds me of last weeks trip to Mercedes dealer who told me I had a frozen front break caliper in my 2013 Sprinter based Winni View. He suggested replacing both front wheel full brake systems. $2500.00 Thank God my pacemaker batteries were charged. Brought the rig to my regular repair shop and got the job done for $650. Get my drift?
  9. Not to highjack the thread, but... I am a Glock guy so cleaning is far from important to me. Well, every 6-800 rounds, anyway. How often does the M4 have to be taken down and cleaned? Should I disassemble mag tube, receiver barrel etc. each time I shoot it? If I throw a couple of slugs down range to sight in dose it require a full cleaning? I saw some schmuts on the surface of chamber and used a Hops brass brush on it. A pia. After reading on this sight I now know it was probably melted plastic from shell casing. I did not take down the gun, just sprayed down bore, passed brush 3-4 times then cotton swab. Looks clean now and I wiped down all exterior surfaces. WHERE WAS I WEAK??? This is my first shotgun and as u know a major investment so I want to keep it right. Roufus
