  1. I have heard good reviews about the Briley triggers, you have to send them your whole housing so they can fit it for you. I thought about it, but chose instead to go with an OEM aluminum trigger guard, some Wolff trigger group springs for reliability, I didn't change any pull weights. And I lucked up on a Geissele hammer and threw that in. Thats it, I don't plan on doing anything else to it other than shooting it alot to smooth the action out. But if I had to recommend any kit, I'd go with Briley based on the feedback I've heard from people who actually use them.

In Texas it's perfectly legal for a 'reasonable person' to shoot a fleeing thief at night (I know of one case locally several years ago where a homeowner shot a fleeing thief in the back at night with a shotgun killing him and the grand jury no billed him [the varmint was attempting to steal a car stereo], there was also a case in Houston where someone getting their truck repossessed in the wee hours of the morning shot the repo guy in the back with a .30-30 as he was driving off,  killing him - the Harris County grand jury no billed that guy as well, in both instances the shooters were protecting their own property from theft at night [one cannot legally use deadly force to protect someone else's property in Texas]). Additionally, in Texas it's legal to shoot arsonists day or night.

...... Arsonists day and night you say... 🤔

  3. I believe the cutout is just there to help guide rounds in under stress. After a few thumb bites I got rid of it myself and installed the TTI lifter. I also tried polishing the latch to ease loading. Can't say it helped much. The one thing I did try that helped a lot was an M2 latch, but then I would have had to give up my preferred bolt release button, and I didn't like adding another failure point due to the hinged latch. So I ditched it. I can say that just over time and alot of reloading, it's gotten easier.

  4. That's pretty slick you were able to get 5 3" shells in there. I run a 5rd tube and although I haven't tried, I know I couldn't do the same because it's tight with 5 2 3/4s. I use Federal FC rounds because I have a ton of em, and they run a bit long. Interestingly, with my OEM spring, I couldn't fit 5. I bought a Carrier Comp spring and still couldn't fit 5 without cutting coils. I was also using the OEM follower. I then got a follower with a flat face, as well as a new Carrier Comp spring and can load 5 2 3/4 rounds. I thought maybe since the rounds had been in the tube compressed for over a month the crimps had gotten compressed, but I tried about 40 fresh rounds out the ammo can and they all fit. Go figure.

  5. So I found a Geissele trigger and traded a kidney for it. Then I found an OEM aluminum trigger guard and grabbed that too. Figured I may as well put some Wolff trigger Springs in it while I had it torn down. You guys weren't lying about the trigger guards finish from the factory, I had to clean it up first.

these are rare, value wise though?? rare items you cant buy prices are set by the buyers, see collapsible stocks and agency handguards for example

Geissele hammer np3 coated is one thing, a charging handle is another, good luck, I would be surprised if someone would even pay half of what your asking.

wouldn't surprise me though if you found someone who makes more than what they know what to do with, people pay $100+ bucks for FCD dust covers and KAC optic battery covers so 🤷🏻‍♂️

    interested to see though!

I feel so attacked..... 😭 Hey I'm retired and everything's paid for, I'm not gonna sit on my death bed wishing I had bought that Geissele hammer I'm gonna buy that shit! Good luck with your sale OP it is indeed a unicorn.

  7. One mod hasn't been on since June 14, another November 16, another February 1, 2016, and the last Tuesday at 06:06 AM. Time to hand over the reigns.

The movement seems pretty normal although the amount can vary a little bit between individual guns. I also have one of @RxArms six position recoil tubes which seemed to lessen my stocks play a bit from the oem if I remember correctly.

I don't think the sound is anything to be worried about. Your stock seems to be locking in to place.

Now that you mention it, I do remember a bit of rotational play on my stock tube as well, but it went away with Robb's tube.

I did find a company that makes custom wood stocks for the Benelli M4, Cotton Branch Custom. I found them on Instagram and it actually looks really good. I am considering getting this stock or at least some kind of standard field stock. I think the wood stock or a custom stock like the Agency field stock would be really good. I have given up on trying to find a Benelli adjustable that doesn't cost 600+ dollars. I don't mind paying a few bucks to get what I want, but I'm not playing this gouging price game with people. Anyway, hope this helps on this extremely old thread lol.

I was going to say Cotton Branch too, he posted this one he did on his Instagram. He does good work, he did an 870 barrel for me a while back.
