Question, Took my m1014 to the range for the first time (after and throughout cleaning and lubrication first), and it was very hard to load. I had to shove my thumb in with force to get it past the shell catch. Will this get easier with time, or will changing the bolt release to an after market bolt release help? I had my wife’s Supernova and I was loading 2 shells at a time with my index finger, but the m4 was a pain in the ass to load. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Garza

Thanks for the kind words. Now that the m1014 is all cleaned/lubed up, I’m taking her out to the range on Monday. It’s gonna be a fun day!

Hello everyone, I’m new to the shotgun world (pistols only up to this point). About two months ago I walked into my local gun store for a home defense shotgun and picked up the Benelli Supernova Tactical. Having never fired a shotgun before, I instantly fell in love after firing that first round. I took the wife out to the range about a week later to get her comfortable with the SN (she carry’s a Sig p238), and I never got the shotgun back. That’s okay, that just gave me an excuse to buy another one for my side of the bed. I ventured back to the gun shop to get another shotgun for me, and there sitting on the wall was a Benelli M1014 (a gun my small gun shop rarely ever gets in). It was meant to be and I had to buy it! Now we truly have a his and hers. Been lurking here for a couple weeks and reading and learning a lot, so I decided to officially join the club. I’ll be posting some pics shortly once the upgrades are complete.
