  1. Hey guy’s, I’ll get into the details later…If a company sent you this email below, would you consider it a threat? Thanks, Garza

    J Kenny latch

I’m no expert, but something doesn’t look right with this new JKenny latch I bought. Before I go and install it you can clearly see it has no hook on one end. Any one see a problem with this. Without a hook on the opposite end of the button, what to stop a shell from double feeding? Your thoughts! Thanks, Garza Jkenny latch on the left M2 - two piece latch on the right
  3. Awesome! I had a great day to Wifey hooked me up with the perfect gift for the hot summer bbq days.
  4. Wishing all the dad’s out there a Happy Father’s Day!
  5. I like the brown version better. I wonder if they’ll be for sale in the US.
  6. The JKenny was developed for competition use. I ended up buying both the JKenny and the M2 latch to compare. I wanted to see for myself if the $150 JKenny latch is superior to the $45 M2 latch. I can say the OEM latch has gotten a little easier over the past few months to load, but it still doesn’t compare to the M2 latch. I can load shells with the M2 latch installed with my index finger easily. No more Benelli thumb. Knowing what I know now, I would have made the M2 latch one of the first things on the list to upgrade on my M4. In my opinion, $45 well worth it if you’re okay not being able to drill and tap for the larger pad as previously noted. I’m still gonna put the JKenny latch through it’s paces once it arrives and decide which to keep on. Thanks, Garza
  7. I was warned it was going to take a while to get it once purchased, and it definitely has. Even though the website said it was in-stock and immediate shipping, it took three weeks to ship. I just got the tracking number yesterday. So we’ll see how long it takes to get to California from the UK. I’ll update once it arrives.

    Shell stop mods

The button on the 20ga latch is pressed fit. Meaning it free spins. As a single round button, it doesn’t matter which direction it’s pointing. But once you try and attach an oversized button that needs to stay in a fixed position. That’s when you see the problem. I should’ve read the forums before installing. Lesson learned! Trying to figure a way to stop it from spinning, I just haven’t had the time recently.
  9. I’ve heard countless times “if 7-9 shots of 12 ga can’t get me out of a situation, I’m screwed anyways”. But what if the magic number to get you out of the situation is 10, or 11… if done quickly. And if you have NOT practiced manipulating at all, it could be a costly mistake. Bottom line, I spent a few hundred dollars to learn what Unobtanium is giving out for free. Soak it up guys! Thanks, Garza
  10. I like what I’m seeing. I spent 3 hours in a defensive training class a couple weeks ago. And while I thought we we were gonna shoot like crazy (and we did), half of our time was spent on manipulation and reloading. Our trainers motto was “if you ain't shooting, you’re reloading”. And I didn’t understand at first. But he explained that most go to the range and load up their gun, and continue to unload til empty. Put the gun down and wash, rinse, repeat. Guilty as charged! He would have us hit a couple targets and the call out a reload mid shot, and we would have to top the gun off while keeping a timer on for the reload and back on target. The first few times were really bad, I mean like really bad. I was ejecting unspent shells from the chamber, dropping shells onto the ground. A comedy of errors. But we were just not training that way. We learned a valuable lesson that day, and a lot of what he was teaching I’m seeing right here in this video. Awesome video, and for those that aren’t practicing this way, you should incorporate this into your range session. We now practice manipulation and reloading into each and every range session. Valuable info here! Thanks, Garza
  11. Man, I definitely wasn’t getting a golf ball size pattern at 10 yards consistently. A few rounds would pattern that small, but for the most part I was counting the one pellet that would sneak away from the group every five rounds or so. Are you running a choke? Thanks, Garza
  12. Wow. I didn’t experience that at all. But I was shooting at a much closer distance. I used the Federal FC LE132 00 at 10 yards (the distance from my bedroom to my front door), and my shot patterns held at a tight 6 inches through 50 rounds. My daughters bedroom is right off the main entrance, so a tight pattern was must. And this was the first time shooting my new m1014 after a proper clean and lube. Maybe others with a little more shotgun experience will chime in. But I liked that ammo so much I just bought a whole case of LE132 00. Thanks, Garza
  13. I do not have any experience buying pre-order items, but I’ve ordered plenty of in-stock parts this year for my Supernova and M1014. Each item I’ve ordered has been shipped quickly, no quality issues, and all items were as described. I know others on here have had some negative experiences, but all mine have been positive. Thanks, Garza
  14. I like what I see. JKenny latch has been ordered. I’ll let you know how long it takes to get here and my feedback once installed. Thanks SD
  15. It wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me since it’s on the underside, but everyone is different. If you shoot it like it’s meant to be used, that will the minor blemish in the grand scheme of things. It still sucks no doubt, but do you want to be without if for a month or longer for a scratch? Only you can answer that question.
  16. I wish I had those options. I pay $2 a rd for the cheap stuff. And don't even think about asking for reduced coil, flight control or any other cool stuff. For me my options are bird shot, 00 buck, or slugs. In whatever manufactures they have that day. If your lucky you might have two options to pick from. Most of the time it’s I’ll take whatever you got.
  17. No dice. Our Walmarts no longer sell ammo. They stopped when the new law was implemented that requires a background check to buy ammo. Yes, in California a background check is required to buy any ammo. I can’t even buy ammo online without it being shipped directly to an authorized ammo dealer or FFL, and most suppliers don't want to deal with the extra paperwork so they just won’t sell to California. Gotta love it!
  18. I went to the range today to relax. You know the kind of day with loud percussion booms from my m4 and the smell of fresh gun powder in the air. A nice relaxing day right. I went to the counter to get my target ammo and my range only had two boxes of shells (two - ten packs). Needless to say my day there at the range didn’t last very long. I have plenty of ammo at home but that’s the private reserve. Anyone else experiencing this in other states, or is it just my lovely state of California? Looking forward to tomorrow though! Me and the wifey are taking a 3 hour defensive shotgun class at an outdoor range. So lucky/blessed to find a partner who loves to shoot as much as I do.
  19. I really liked that setup, but after upgrading my m1014 with all kinds of goodies, I was really sensitive to the weight. And since I can get 9 rounds in the shotgun with the 7rd tube, I didn’t feel it was necessary and used that money for other things. So I went with the Leupold Deltapoint Pro 6moa. I mounted it right on top of the OEM pic rail. I was a little biased since I used Leupold scopes previously. And I went with what I know. I’m happy with the purchase so far! Thanks, Garza
  20. VoidEngine, Is it functional? Does it shoot straight? Then no modifications are needed. It’s a very cool gun to shoot/own in it’s OEM configuration. Obviously making it better comes at a hefty and expensive price. My recommendation is to take your time with your gun. Throw a couple hundred rounds down range and find out what you like and don’t like about it. Then you’ll know what you want to change. Start small and upgrade as you can afford to. Obviously if you have the cash….balls out. But life is not a sprint my friend! Thanks, Garza
  21. Ah, the good old days…. I did the very same thing last week when I was purging my old receipts and I came across my truck contract from 2008. Back then I bought a brand new 08 Ford F-150 SC Cab FX4 for 43k. Fast forward to August of last year when I traded in that Ford for a GMC Sierra Carbon Pro AT4, let’s just say the new truck was almost double the price. Ouch!!!! But I still smile when I start her up every day. Blessed! Thanks, Garza
  22. Joe actually recommends using the existing 5rd spring, which I did. I ran about 100 rds so far with the 5rd spring in the 7rd tube, and no failures. Thanks, Garza
  23. Another ? for Joe (SOCOMguy). I bought one his 7rd tubes and it matched the black perfectly. And his communication and customer service are second to none. He was even willing to fix a mistake I made when installing the tube. Let’s just say I shouldn’t ate that popcorn! Luckily he walked me through the steps to correct and I couldn’t be happier! Great price, great product! Thanks, Garza
  24. Looks awesome ? Also, nice work on the light mount. Got any videos of the beast in action? Never seen an M3 in my neck of the woods. Thanks, Garza
  25. Thanks for the feedback. Gonna try and polish out the BR and Mag tube and see if that helps. I’m also gonna be cycling 50-100 rounds per day and see if that helps break it in. If all else fails I’ll order the M2 BR. Thanks, Garza
