  1. Just an update, the canadian distro gave me a parts list but i believe they based it on the official benelli schematic that i posted above. they sold me the stock retaining screw (drawing 3 part 4) that threads into the recoil tube after removing the ring clip and screw cap (drawing 5 part 22) that comes factory on the tactical models as well as a second shim (drawing 3 part 6) I can confirm that these parts will not work as the the notched tactical stock tube is quite a bit shorter than the cylindrical recoil spring tube off the non-tactical models). This makes the length of the stock retaining screw too short to pass through the drop plate at the other end of the stock to allow the nut and washer (drawing 1 parts 1 and 2) to thread onto the screw to secure the stock The ring nut (drawing 3 part 23) also makes the second shim redundant as the hole in the second shim does not fit over the nut I'm going to assume I will need that mystery bolt that is not listed on the parts list/schematic that threads into the original cap screw that's installed into the recoil tube) Just sharing this info and pics here for those who are looking to do the same thing to save you from spending money on incompatible parts.
  2. i just replaced my 14.5" with an 18.5" that just came in today lol
  3. Hi, I currently own a SNT Telescopic stock version and in the process of converting to comfortech stock in order to take advantage of a higher comb. However, my Canadian distro listed a bunch of parts for me according to the Benelli schematic which was incorrect when it came to installing the comfortech stock onto the tactical model due to the differing lengths of the 5 position stock tube vs the non-tactical recoil spring tube. Unfortunately I've only found pictures and videos of the steadygrip stock and telescopic stock assembly/disassembly on the tactical models and not the comfortech. I understand that the steadygrip stock has a bolt that threads into a cap screw that loosely threads into the stock tube and retained with a small ring clip. My question is: is the comfortech stock installed the same way? (bolt inserted through the back of the stock threading into the recoil tube? I was sold the stock retaining screw which is a double ended screw where I remove the ring clip and cap screw that is in my stock tube and thread the retaining screw in, the comfortech stock would then slide onto the tube where the double ended screw would pass through a drop plate inside the stock and secured with a washer + nut. I understand that this would be how the comfortech stock would be installed on a non-tactical model. However i'm scratching my head wondering how the comfortech stock is installed from the factory on the tactical models. If any one could post a short series of pictures of the stock disassembled with all the hardware + shims I would be forever in your debt.
  4. Thanks! And I'm assuming there is a single bolt that goes through an elastic washer and the fixing plate and threads into the stock tube?
  5. I think if there were a plate in the middle that both sides can sandwich together that would be the most sturdy option
  6. Hmmm just picked up the magpul swivel sockets. They are not an drop right into the hole fit. Will require boring out the inner circle portion in order to seat the socket in more so that it sits flush against the bottom of the recess as is, the socket sits on the raised outer lip and protrude quite far out. Even when sitting at the bottom of the recess I would say it will still protrude out by around 5mm. The cleanest look would be obtained by drilling out that entire recess on one side and have the bottom of the socket sitting on the inner surface of the opposite side recess and securing it with a nut on the other side. I will likely take this to a gunsmith to get done cleanly as I was only comfortable drilling a screw hole into the recess
  7. Hi all, I recently bought a supernova tactical 14.5" with telescopic stock and because I installed a RDS onto the rail, I am looking to swap over to a comfortech stock with raised combs for better head position. I received the stock today but realize it does not come with the hardware necessary to install it. Has anyone here with the supernova tactical with pistol grip or telescopic stock swapped over to the comfortech? is the bolt used on the pistol grip the same as the one used for the comfortech? If so does anyone know the part number for said bolt? the parts list does not even show the bolt for the tactical model. In this youtube video, it clearly shows the mentioned bolt with a washer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtoIlNy-KXA&ab_channel=barakuna when the guy removed his pistol grip to install the telescopic. Looking at the supernova schematic, it seems like the non-tactical versions use a stock retaining screw that screws into the recoil spring tube which also sticks through a fixing plate that and secured with a retaining nut and washer while the supernova tactical has a stock retaining bolt and washer that inserts from the back of the stock through a plate and screws into the stock tube. For the comfortech tactical model, are there any plates and shims used as a factory setting? A huge favor to ask of any supernova tactical owners with comfortech stock, are you able to disassemble the stock part and take pictures of all the mounting hardware (shims, bolts, plates, etc) or better yet, record a video of the disassembly? I'm assuming I'll at the very least need the stock supernova shim kit (PN 61194) for the locking plate at the very least, then try to obtain the stock retaining bolt with elastic washer that threads into the stock tube. Any information and/or pictures/videos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  8. I'm quite curious how the 80199 BENELLI OEM SWIVEL KIT installs to the stock. It just appears the cup is tapped but does not show pictures of any nuts or anything. I wonder if this kit comes with the other side which looks like a rounded knob that goes on the other side of the hole looking at the picture of the coyote brown t-pro i have above EDIT: went on chat to ask freedomfightertactical about the part and they said they didn't have any info on installation instructions. However they confirmed that this part only includes what is pictured. They told me to contact benelli for more info. I am thinking we will need the female end of this assembly since it looks like there's a tapped cap for the other end of the stock.
  9. Found it! the only telescopic buttstock with similar style I was able to find with pre installed QD cups in the hole seemed to be from off the M4, but not the regular version we commonly see, but the M4 T-Pro. I have attached the only pictures I could find that clearly shows a QD cup installed in that factory hole. Unfortunately it doesn't seem benelli officially offers telescopic stocks in their official webstore and only a few third party retailers such as benelliparts and midwest offers the one for the supernova tactical. I have not found the m4 part offered anywhere in my searches so no part number. Furthermore, the few youtube foreign unboxing and review videos covering the M4 T-Pro does not have QD cups pre-installed in the buttstock, which makes me suspect that the QD cup buttstock was only offered to LE/military guns and not the models available to civilians despite the same model name. Found an english unboxing of the T-Pro that clearly does not have the qd cups https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvrEPfvEnkU&ab_channel=buttermilkswag I've attached a bunch of stock benelli pictures of the m4 T-pro that does have the qd cups installed which confirms that that area is designed to be reinforced for the QD cup mount
  10. http://www.benellidefense.it/products/supernova-185 looking at the italian mil spec site, the Quick Detachment Sling Swivel System indeed looks like a QD connector (your first link) however even closeup photos doesn't look like it's got the qd adapter installed into the stock. I wonder if at one point the supernova tactical telescopic stocks came with the QD cup adapter installed in the empty recesses that are on the present day stocks and somewhere along the road, benelli decided to do away with including qd adapters installed into the stock?
  11. Nice, yeah i need to take mine apart and see how much material is in that reinforced area. I want to keep the mount at the factory recessed holes and since the magpul adapters only require drilling a 5mm hole or so to insert the screw through I feel more comfortable installing the mount on a spot that's actually structurally reinforced vs drilling a random hole the diameter of the fitting and only rely a non-reinforced area of the plastic stock to bear the stress of the weight concentrated all in a pretty small area the size of the square nut. I'm sure it would be fine but i feel like utilizing types 1 and 2 of the magpul adapters and threading the long screw through the reinforced portion at the bottom of the stock will have the least amount of stress on stock's plastic. I know installing it on the bottom will cause the gun to flip but i were to mount to the top side of the stock i would rather look at something a stock strap harness with a ring up to and use a magpul paraclip. Looks like benelli intended for the bottom circle to be a quick disconnect point given the fact the hole is sized for them as well as the structural reinforcement on the inner side of that area to bear the load of the gun when slung.
  12. True... however, the sling slot is on the bottom as well anyways so it would be flipping upside down either way. The telescopic stock is also incompatible with the ggagz rear qd mounts so i can't really find any options atm
  13. Hi, anyone know if those round holes by the sling slot on the rear of the stock are meant to be drilled to install quick disconnect adapters such as magpul's sling mount kits 1 & 2? pics of the disassembled stock was taken from another post. And not mine.
