  1. Thank you very much!
  2. Apologies for what is hopefully my last dumb question on here for a while. I have a Mesa Tactical 8-shell aluminum side saddle I am about to screw onto the top of my M4 to replace the existing rail. I have the proper screws & washers (had to replace a few, because they fell out during a recent shotgun course). My question is this. Which way do the washers go? Like a regular bowl, "u" style, so the screw drops into it snug? Or like an upside down bowl, "n" style, with the curve facing the M4? Again apologies for not knowing, I just don't wanna 'screw' this up (see what I did there?), especially since I am using Loctite 243 to make sure it stays snug once in place. Thanks for any help
  3. Thank you both! Would you recommend any particular kind of Loctite? I have 242 blue but I heard 243 blue might be better. I am a noob however.
  4. Also, possibly a second dumb question. But once I do get the correct washers... What kind of Loctite should I use to screw the Mesa side saddle into the top rail on the 5 screws? 242 blue, or 243 blue? Or something else. Any help / knowledge is very much appreciated... Thanks.
  5. Hello, apologies in advance if this is a dumb question, I am about as mechanical as a bowling ball. I ran a shotgun course last weekend & 2 screws came out of my Mesa Tactical side saddle I have mounted to my M4. I learned the existence of Loctite, and bought some. I ordered replacement screws from Benelli, they came without washers. I am hesitant to screw them in & Loctite everything without washers, since the remaining screws have washers. How can I find the right fit / quality washers? Is this just a Home Depot drop by kinda thing? Appreciate any help, I am a novice.
  6. Wow you are giving me a wealth of knowledge in this thread, I really appreciate it. Final question: do you have any advice or recommendations for birdshot I should get for this course, when the requirement is 400 rounds? I don't want the best of the best ie expensive stuff, but of course I would like it to cycle in my M4. The one requirement is it has to be lead, no steel.
  7. I appreciate it. On a related note, any advice on good slugs to feed the M4? I've heard from people that Sabot slugs are not preferred, because those are meant for a rifled barrel, which the M4 does not have. But I don't know much about this myself.
  8. Also, do you guys think this ammo will run well in a Benelli M4?
  9. Bump, with a question... I am taking a shotgun course, where they suggest that autoloaders (like my M4) should bring "High base birdshot shells"... I don't know much about it. Can anyone give me an example of such ammo? If so, appreciated.
  10. I'm in one of the merely free-ish states that doesn't allow the full tube, so hypothetically 5+1. However, as said in the thread all shells aren't the same, & in my rig which is Hornady slugs in the tube, only 4 fit. 5 almost does, but not quite. I get around this by ghost loading, so I have 4+1+1 when topped off. I don't store it that way however, when I store it & leave the house I empty the chamber first.
  11. I have the RXarms Bolt Release tab (steel), as well as their Charging Handle (titanium) on my M4 for the past year. Love them both, great upgrades.
