Hi, I have 2 M2 20 gauge 2 piece carrier latches for sale. They are Benelli part number 60488. They are hard to come by and sold out everywhere right now. One has a little more use than the other one, one was in a backup gun. I had my 2 guns fitted with bigger slammer buttons on new carrier latches so I’m selling these 2 for what I have in them. $60 each shipped. They’re $52 each new plus shipping and tax. PayPal or Venmo.

I don’t think they’ve ever made a lefty Ethos. You’ll have to find a used M2, SBE2, or Montefeltro or get a new SBE3.

Anyone here know if the stock on the 28 gauge SBE3 is the same as the 20 gauge? I have an up and coming shooter/hunter that I want to get the new compact 28 gauge for, but I also want to mess with it myself and buy a full size stock to use on it. I only see 12 and 20 gauge stocks available from Benelli and MWG. I would think the 20 and 28 are the same, but I’d like to know for sure before I buy the gun and then am not able to get a full size stock.

The MWG link you posted is the 2 piece latch I bought. I can’t post a picture of it side by side as it’s still in the gun. When I get a chance to take it apart I’ll take some. It’s a 2021 M2 20 that I put it in. It came with a 1 piece latch. I’m not sure why it’s not working. It won’t allow the shells to feed from the mag. It’s essentially a single shot gun like it sits now.

This is the 2 piece carrier latch I bought. It’s made for the older style M2s with a round bolt release button, not the 2023 and newer M2s. They also fit the Affinity 3. From Benelli, they say it’s for the 20GA M2 and they made them long before 2023. The M2 I have is a 2021 with a comfort tech stock and round bolt release. That is why I cannot figure out what’s going on with it. It should be a drop in replacement but it will not allow shells to feed from the magazine tube.

From my research, Benelli made that 2 piece carrier latch back in 2019 or 2020, well before the new style M2s came out.

Are the USA and Italy Benellis exactly the same? I found a parts supplier in Italy, OMPS 2, and they have a part I need in stock whereas nobody in the U.S. does. The part numbers are different, but the schematic looks the same. Would these parts work or is there a chance they are different?

It’s a 2021 M2 with the comfort tech. So the part number 60488 is for the new style 2023 and newer M2s?

The rear of the 2 piece carrier latch has a lot less side to side spring loaded travel than the one piece one.

I bought the Benelli M2 2 piece carrier latch for my wife’s 20ga M2 and went to install it today and it isn’t working. When I reassemble the gun the bolt won’t close. It seems like it’s too big or something. It’s part number 60488. Anyone else had this problem? The original one piece one goes back in and works no problem. Comparing them side by side I can’t see why the 2 piece one won’t work. Any ideas?

That makes sense. They also removes the lefty 828U so I was worried they were just nixing them all. I hope they add a lefty 28ga SBE 3.

Hi everyone, been a long time reader and lurker but just made an account. Have 6 Benellis now and have had more in the past. I’m a lefty and it seems that Benelli is moving away from making left handed shotguns. Luckily I already have some but it’s a little disappointing to see them leaving that market. They only make the SBE3 in a 28” barrel in black and Realtree now. Do you think they are just revamping the lineup or are they moving to all righty guns?
