Have an m4 that's pretty fouled and I'm tempted to try a tornado brush as I've seen suggested before. I'm pretty wary though with the maintenance specs saying to not use any metal brushes on the bore. I do use a brass brush, but does anyone have thoughts on avoiding the stainless tornado brushes?

The retaining ring just needs to be aligned with the grooves in the pin. I had it rotated, but shouldn't make any difference. For anyone interested I was able to get a spec for dimensions. The aluminum slot for the hammer is 0.01" wider than the polymer slot, hence this play. Looks to be normal.

Installed the A&S enhanced trigger guard on my M4 the other day and noticed that there's some (what I'd consider significant) lateral play in the hammer. Triple checked that everything is installed correctly. Does this look normal to everyone? 20250308_103206.mp4

Is it secure? I've read there are issues with it shaking loose. Also, do you have a picture of how it sits?

It seems like everyone who wants a cheek riser either pays a ton for the collapsible stock or the go the Mesa Tactical urbino route and put up with that terrible boxy grip design. Anyone out there running a cheek riser on the oem pg or field stock? If so what are you using?
