NTSOS Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 To remove/replace the stock, do you remove the 053J stock retaining nut or the entire 280J stock retaining pin/assembly? Thanks! John Quote
chromegsxr2002 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 NTSOS, To remove the stock on the M4, you do not have remove any nuts or bolts. The only thing you have to remove is the trigger assembly, then the whole stock will screw off from the receiver. Hope this helps, Jeremy Quote

NTSOS Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 Your welcome, glad I could help. Hi Jeremy, Refering to my previously posted figure 6 drawing, I just noticed that my M4 11707's recoil pad does not even have the self threaded screw as pictured in the drawing. I have the pistol grip stock assembly (160J) and my Benelli M4 Super 90 manual has only the instructions/photos for the telescoping stock assembly. Anyway, I'm slightly confused as I was wondering if you knew what the pieces and parts in the whatever version M4 parts list that I have posted actually do and does my M4 have any of those parts? Thanks again! John Quote
Nikolai552 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 you should post a picture of it once you get the field stock on. Never seen one with a field stock. Quote
chromegsxr2002 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 John, Your pistol grip has every part shown. The screws are kinda hard to see because they are behind two very tiny holes in the pad on the back of the stock, but they are there. However, none of those parts need to be removed to get your stock off, the only thing you need to remove is the trigger assembly, which is simply held in place by the retaining pin on the side of your receiver. After the trigger assembly is removed, the whole stock, grip and all, will simply unscrew from your receiver. Your field stock should go on the same way. Hope this helps, Jeremy Quote
NTSOS Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 Hi Jeremy, So the screws *are* actually there.....ok! Yes, I understood from your first post that I had to remove the trigger assembly.........I just wanted to understand what those particular parts did. Ok.....thank you again! John Quote
chromegsxr2002 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Yes they are there, you just really have to look hard. So did you get your field stock on? Quote

Not yet.......it hasn't arrived..........I also would like to get Cleefurd's stock as I would like to experience the performance differences for myself. John Edited December 27, 2008 by NTSOS Quote
