Veduci Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I have 3 shims in the bag that came with the gun: Z, A, and C. NO D! Do I assume the shim on the gun is B? Do not want to take apart just to find out. I have shot Win. Model 12 for 30+ years. It has drop at heel of 1.875 inches. Benelli advertises Cordoba drop at heel of 2 inches. The booklet supplied is in mm. Thus it seems shim B at 55 mm would actually be 2.17 inches... Is this a correct assumption? If so, I may need to replace shim B with Shim A. Quote
BlackDogs3 Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Go out and pattern your gun before you start adjusting it. The Benelli will shoot high relative to your model 12. European guns are designed so that the target is above the bead and you can actually see what you are shooting at. You do not "cover the bird" with a Benelli. Quote
Veduci Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 Good suggestion! I shot 125 rounds fo skeet today. I agree the B shoots higher than Win. Took me a bit to get used to it but otherwise a great gun. Quote
