dmcpeak
I am having problems with my 20guage montefeltro. The bolt does not close all of the way maybe once or twice out of 15 shots. I had the gunsmith tear it down and clean it, he test fired it and could find nothing wrong. After approximately a box of shells fired thru the gun it is doing it again. I am using factory field loads in it. Thanks Dave

Thanks Dave I had the same thing happen to my m2, take the bolt out and sand down slightly the stub that is in that slot at the front of the receiver, it is finished in nickel and part of the silver bolt head. Then put a little oil on it and work it a couple hundred times.
c rum
How old is it? It may be time to replace the recoil spring.
dmcpeak
The gun is 4 years old. It has probably had 500 shells shot thru it. Thanks Dave
c rum
That is not a huge amount but recoil springs are cheap the hardest part is getting the plug out of the spring tube but it will also give you a change to clean and lube the spring tube. Also look at the extractor and where is engages the barrel sometimes a burr on the extractor can cause the problem you are having. Good Luck
