How do I install the large bolt carrier handle?

I have the facotry one in my M2 but I bought this nice large one at the last gun show but I can't get the original handle to come out. Any tips/suggestions?

wrap a shoestring around the handle and pull it out

Remove the barrrell and press the bolt rearward about a 1/4", then pull it out.
