AggiePhil Posted September 9, 2010 Share Posted September 9, 2010 While the Sidearmor setup is nice for giving you lots of rail space (too much, IMO), the problem with it is that you're adding a lot of weight simply for the sake of having rail space....and in areas where you don't really need the rail space (i.e., you want your white light as far forward as possible to cut down on barrel shadowing, not further back where the Sidearmor rails are). Again, it does allow for a very clean looking setup but IMO it's a huge weight sacrifice just to have a little ol' weaponlight. As unsexy as it may be, I think I'll be going with the highest quality clamp-style magazine tube rail mount available (surely there's one better than that KZ version from Botach, of all places?) and a TLR-1 with maybe a UniMax Green.
