SBE2 Safety?

The safety button on my SBE2 is really stiff, and can be difficult to take off when shouldering quickly for a fast shot. Is there any way that it can be fixed with out becoming too loose and therefore unsafe?

It is a simple and straightforward mechanism.

One approach would be to lessen the resistance provided by the spring, but a more sensible solution would be to polish the mating surfaces of the parts to provide function with less effort.

Sounds like a plan! Thanks for the help. Probably would have figured it out myself, Im just not a mechanically inclined person so better be safe than sorry and just ask.
