MtGoat
I have a M1 field 20 gauge and went through heck to get a box of Remington Express Long Range 2 3/4" #6 shotgun shells as the 12 gauge variety shoots so well from my SBE. Well the dog gone thing has several holes in the pattern. I adjusted the pattern right and down to shoot 50/50 as it is a chukkar gun but now to find something that closes up the holes in the pattern. What have others found in a 2 3/4" #6's that shoot well in a 20 gauge M1? Thanks Pat
8 Shot M1 Super 90
Every gun will pattern a shell differently. The only thing for sure anyone can tell you is to shoot different shells through different chokes until you find what works best. There is no one shell/choke combo
MtGoat
I am gathering up a collection of shells I have a box of Kent, Remington and Winchester and have one box of Federal Premium, Winchester Premium and Fiocchi Golden Pheasant on order. I have been looking all over for a box of 2 3/4" Federal Prairie Storm #6's but with no luck. I have even tried a number of on-line dealers (Midway, Natchez, Ammo-To-Go, and Cabelas) Does anyone have an on-line resource for premium shotgun ammo that may have ONE box in stock I just sent a note into Federal looking for suggestions from them as well. Guest McDaddy
I have the same gun; the best I have found is an improved tube with Fiocchi Golden Pheasant 6's. Hits hard and kills.
