How to reduce recoil in SBE wit wood stock?

Hi everybody.

Recently I bought a SBE (not SBE II) with wood stock. I have a bad shoulder and I was wondering what are my options to minimize the recoil in this gun?

I hear the best aftermarket recoil pad is the HiViz Xcoil. It is cut to fit though, so it will need a gunsmith to fit.

 

I use the Limbsaver from Simms because it was prefit to the SBE (wood or snythetic).

 

I also use the recoil reducer from Benelli in the stock of my synthetic SBE - I don't think it fits the wood stock though.

I too have the limbsaver on my SBE synthetic - a worthwhile investment.

 

I also have the mercury recoil reducer in the stock, and am thankful for its attributes!
