Gotcha. If it's a "what-ever-the-heck-I-feel-like-doing-today" shotgun, then the only advice I can offer is to not get too long a barrel length. A item number 20035 (or 20036 if you're small in stature) would be a good choice, IMO.

It's easier to shoot clays with a barrel that's a little short than to try and do HD duty with a 28" barrel.

If it's not going to do HD duty, then get what ever length swings best for you. Speaking only of pump and semi-auto receiver guns here, not SxS or O/U, I still tend to error on the side of shorter rather than longer. I've rarely caught a 24 or 26 inch barrel on vegetation, but I've snagged quite a few 28 and 30 inch in mid swing. :o

I think the one I'm looking at is 26 or maybe a 24 not sure. I like it though, feels good in the hand comes to the shoulder quick and I like it's looks. I also shoot left handed on long guns. The 20ga will also be something the wife could handle for home defense & such. Thanks!

I don't know if she's a new shooter or not... but make sure she gets regular practice... and try to make it fun.
