13thwarrior
Just purchased a Benelli 80201 / 80201P for my SuperNova Tactical. Does anyone have the proper in/lb torque spec for the barrel clamp? Thanks
Vertigofirearms
The flat head screw is a straight knurl for hand tightening. The really early Benellis had a few clamps without the straight knurling (if I recall correctly) Some folks clamp it tighter than a fat person wearing skinny jeans; others hand tighten it as tight as their hand will allow. Sorry I don't have the direct answer, but I personally hand tighten it first, then apply a little more torque with a flat head screwdriver. The technique I use hasn't marred the barrel for me yet with regular loads.
