How is the bolt in the R1 fore stock removed?

I am replacing the fore stock of my R1 and can’t seem to discover the trick to remove the bolt from the old fore stock to put into the replacement fore stock

You have to pull out the bolt throw. Just wiggle it while pulling on it and it will come out. Then the bolt won’t be blocked from sliding out the back of the barrel.
