blackduck
advertised as 13 inches and catalog, as well as web site indicates that the stock can be shortened . . .can i infer from this that i can have my gunsmith shorten it? . . .when i wanted to have my 12 gauge nova done . .my gunsmith indicated that cutting the stock would also cut away the ridge insidde the stock to which the but pad locks into much like a tupperware lid . . . my boy just turned 11. He got his hunting license at 10yrs old . .even the 13 inch youth guns are a bit of a stretch for an average 10 yr. old I believee some manufacturers have already realized this and started offering youth guns with a LOP between 12.5 and 12.75 inches. blackduck
OK i just found that the 20ga. nova has 2 lips inside the stock thus it seems that it can be cut shorter than 13 inches
Golden Bear
If the Nova Synthetic stock is the same as the SS & the SBE II there is a plate kit made by All Sport Tech (743-717-5390) that allows you to attach any type and thickness recoil pad. The thinest pad (1/2" #301) I know of is made by Kickeez. Hope this helps. --GB
