Brian T Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 I bought an SBE3 last March. I shot trap with it all summer with no issues but I never used the magazine. I took it hunting twice with no issues. This past weekend I had several times where after a shot it would eject both shells out of the magazine and jam up. The second shell would be about an inch out of the magazine jamming up the carrier. I would have to push the lead shell upwards to clear it up. I have kept the gun clean and it wasn't dropped into the mud or dirt. Any idea on what is causing this? I was using the same 3" shells all 3 trips. Quote
remarkable Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Your carrier latch is out of spec, basically it does not have enough face contact with the shells it containing in the magazine. If you have an extended magazine on the gun, you may have damaged the latch. A very good Benelli expert or Benelli customer service RMA, will be the path foreward. Most Carrier latches that I repair or replace are bent out of spec because of two issues. Number 1, extended magazine, many companies who make these do not calibrate the magazine spring properly. Thus too much pressure is place on the carrier latch, bending it. Number 2, i will not mention on this forum. 1 Quote
