I had this problem pretty often with my sbe3 a couple years ago. A wise friend told me taking the hardware apart fully and soaking in gasoline would possibly help this issue, then to wipe down, and re oil after all gasoline is off. Worked well for me, but to each their own. Hope this may help.

I would very strongly advise against the use of gasoline as a solvent for gun cleaning purposes. There are other solvents available that are not nearly as hazardous to one's health (fire, inhalation), e.g. something made specifically for gun cleaning purposes such as Gun Scrubber.
