lostcabin2
I can't wait to try out my new Turkey/Goose/Duck gun... Only issue is that there are no swivels to attach a sling to. I looked at a few options including: 1. Buying the swivel mag cap from Benelli 2. Using a sling that has a giant washer that fits under the mag cap 3. Various kits that you can install into the mag cap and stock of the shotgun to attach a swivel and sling to. I think I have chosen to do option 3. The kit I chose is Uncle Mikes QD Super Swivel http://www.unclemikes.com/adtemplate.asp?invky=9004486&catky=1279575&subcatky1=4548842&subcatky2=2000190 . Does anybody have experience/concerns with this approach that you think I should know? Thanks for your help.
The_Gun_Guy
I would suggest getting the mag cap from benelli. and for the rear get a screw in stud I have tried the cap instiallation thing and it sucks. It is NOT easy to install and doesn't require SOME modifications to the cap, I ended up getting a new one from benelli anyway. but I don't have first hand expeiriance of struggle with the m1 I might add my m1 is the most reliable shotgun I ever purchased, you wont be disappointed with it. bootster
I have a slot in the rear of the stock that the sling mounts to. I can't use a quick release sling however. The front has the Benelli cap with a slot for the sling. I have to "permanently" attach the sling at both ends of the gun.
The_Gun_Guy
Well nothing is perminent and if you get the right sling it will be possible to remove it but just not in a couple of seconds.
