claybrdr Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I can't see any way to remove the Technogel pad and don't see anything in the accompanying literature except for stocks with screw on pads. I can't see any holes for screws in the pad and since the pad is supposedly "quick detachable", there must be a trick to it. Help! Quote
tucker301 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 It's held in by a rim on the pad which fits into a groove in the butt of the stock. Give it a firm pull while twisting to one side. [ 12-29-2005, 07:23 AM: Message edited by: tucker301 ] Quote
mudhen Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Wrong pad Tucker. On the Super Sport, I think it's the same Gel Pad as on the Beretta Gel Tek guns. I think there is a metal clasp somewhere at the bottom of the pad. If you pull down on the clasp, it releases the pad. "The Gel-Tek recoil pad features a patented retaining clasp system that permits the easy and fast application and removal of the pad." mudhen - CA Quote
tucker301 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 So, it's a SSII? Shoot! And I almost went an entire year without being wrong [ 12-29-2005, 02:13 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ] Quote
mudhen Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 No, I think now you may be right. It's the Sport II that has the Beretta style pad. The SS pad should just twist off as you decribed. mudhen - CA Quote
claybrdr Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 I looked to see if it had a device like the Teknys but it doesn't. I've been reluctant to tug on it for fear of messing it up. Quote
claybrdr Posted December 30, 2005 Author Posted December 30, 2005 Thanks, it came off exactly as you said. Quote
