lee shifflett Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I am looking at purchasing one of the new benelli rifles in the .308 caliber. I have 2 BARS and liked the weight and feel of the benelli rifle when I bought my sbe2. anyone with any real experience would be greatly appreciated. Quote
tucker301 Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I sold my BAR and went with the R1 last Fall. After some tweaks, I'm very pleased with the R1. The new Longtrac and Shortracs are the closest thing to the R1 on the market. If I didn't go for the R1, I'd consider one of those, but not the old style BAR. The R1's are supposed be offered in some new calibers this year. Make sure you get a new catalog before making a final decision. Quote
