sbe1
Hello there, I went to a gun show today and found a shaw rifled barrel. The owner wants to sell the sbe, choked bbl and shaw in one package but he liked one item (ruger 357 rev) I am selling so we made a deal and i got only the shaw. He's using the same fore end for both barrels. The problem now is on my fore end. Its too tight and doesnt snap like on the choked bbl so i cannot install the shaw. Any solution? I know that for the factory slug bbl, I need to buy another fore end. How about on a shaw? thank you
J J Mac
The early SBE I slug bbl (no fixed sights) was made by Shaw - don't know about now. It was a larger diameter than the normal bbl and the slug gun pkg came with a special fore end to accomodate it. You will probably have to purchase a new fore end unless you can remove some material from inside the fore end to make it fit.
sbe1
Thanks JJ Yes, my bbl has no sight and I notice about its larger diameter. I dont know where to shave material from the inside of that fore end so Ill save money and buy the correct fore end for that bbl.
