Nova and Magnum shells

Can the Nova pump shoot 3 1/2 magnum shells? If it can what choke should not be used?

The is chambered for 2-3/4", 3", and 3-1/2" shells.

 

While any choke can be used with 3-1/2" shells, Benelli recommends using a choke no tighter than modified for steel shot.

They may bother your shoulder, and hopefully, they'll really bother what you're shooting at.

they will bother your shoulder. lol. the nova handles the large magnum high velocity with no problem. i think youll find that you will be the one getting used to the 3.5/s. good luck.

they are worth it though when you need them, but most situations don't need the power of these shells. i use 3.5's when the birds are stand off-ish. i use the 3" magnums for most ducking.

Thanks Lloyd. I have never used the magnum shells till i got another gun last year, it ejected better with them. I wanted to carry the same shells for both of the guns if possible. since what yall said i should not have an issue. Wish me luck with my 1st nova.
