SBEII slug barrel

Well, the slug barrels have finally arrived, I tried to mount the Weaver 93 base, but the two front screws, are to short to to tighten it down, the rear screws are fine. It's the notch that runs down the receiver, it gets deeper toward the front, thus the screws won't grab ahold of the threads in the barrel. Anyone have a similar problem and solution.
