Chaos Rex
Hello fellow Benelli shooters, I have a Nova 12 Ga. smoothbore "special purpose" slug gun. I purchased this shotgun a few years ago. I'd like to know what I can shoot out of it and what I should NOT shoot out of it. Thanks
tucker301
Shoot slugs designed for smoothbores only... no sabots. Federal TruBall would be one such slug that is designed for smoothbores. Shoot lead, hevi-shot, or steel of any shot size. The maximum shell length is stamped on the barrel.
Chaos Rex
Thanks Tucker, I found this article after your reply. http://www.nrapublications.org/tah/Slugs.asp How about defence loads, less-than-lethal/non-lethal? Does anyone have any experience with any of these specialty loads out of a Benelli or any other smooth bore slug gun?
tucker301
Very good resource in that article. I'm saving that one!
