Nova Smoothbore Slug Gun Questions

Hello fellow Benelli shooters,

 

I have a Nova 12 Ga. smoothbore "special purpose" slug gun. I purchased this shotgun a few years ago.

 

I'd like to know what I can shoot out of it and what I should NOT shoot out of it.

Shoot slugs designed for smoothbores only... no sabots.

Federal TruBall would be one such slug that is designed for smoothbores.

 

Shoot lead, hevi-shot, or steel of any shot size. The maximum shell length is stamped on the barrel.

How about defence loads, less-than-lethal/non-lethal? Does anyone have any experience with any of these specialty loads out of a Benelli or any other smooth bore slug gun?
