I was planning on putting a B&T quad rail on an M1 but if they're out of production I would prefer a M2.

I don't honestly know, but I would think so. I don't see a reason for them to design the M2 forend different then the M1, but I could be wrong.

It appears that the forends are different. also the M1 has a metal trigger guard like the M4 and the M2 is plastic.

I already bought an extension tube for an M1, can I use it on any other shotgun?
