edon
I believe I read on this board sometime ago that all Benelli barrels, on an assembled gun or as a replacement part, that came into the USA were at least 18", then cut down to 14" if the short barrel was wanted for LE. Are any of you SBS experts out there able to confirm this? What markings are on a factory 14" (most interested in Nova barrels)?
HDRDKG
The barrels are shipped to the US in legal lengths. If the barrel is going to be cut to 14", then from the factory, the front sight and locking collar are put in the proper location for the 14" barrel, then the end is cut. Not sure why they do it that way, but it has something to do with the BATFE and the importation of foreign guns & barrels to the US.
