When did the NOVA come in 3.5" chamber?

I always thought the NOVA was a 3" chamber, but now i see they have 3.5" chambers. Was it recently upgraded to 3" or have they ALWAYS have 3.5" chambers.

 

(i know the supernova had 3.5" chambers from the start)

I know at least 6 years because thats when I got my first nova. 20 gauge is 3 inch though

To the best of my knowledge, the standard hunting camo/black 12 gauge Nova has always been 3.5". The first two I bought in 1999, were 3.5". So at least 9 years or so.
