LaRue Tactical Surefire Scout Mount

i just purchased the LaRue Tactical Surefire Scout Mount and I am mounting it on a Brugger & Thomet single-side rail - did I mount it correctly?

 

 

As you can see in this picture, the stop is resting on the rail:

I have the same mount, but its not on my benelli.

 

Your picture looks odd ... the flat part that the lever turns is supposed to be fully under the rail to support it, and the inverse rail bumpout on the bottom is supposed to be in between the middle of your bt rail, not at the end of it ...

 

Hard to tell with those pics.

 

It should be mounted with the larue mounts tooth bumpout on the bottom in the middle of the rail, so that the lever grips fully ... it looks like you have it hanging off the end.

 

It should be rock solid. If it wiggles even a little bit, you did it wrong.

Thats what I thought as well, but that tooth "bumpout" does not fit inside the middle of the B&T rail... what the heck is up with that?

 

It's rock solid on the gun right now... kinda confused.

Ok, I just mounted the LaRue mount on a regular rail and it fit just fine... the Brugger & Thomet rail is not wide enough!!

 

WTF... did I order the wrong one or is it cut wrong?

I dunno man. I've never bought anything from B&T for lots of reasons, so I have no real experience with them.

 

Do they not use standard rails? It wouldn't surprise me.

You are totally correct. I don't know why the **** they would do this, but its not a standard pic rail. What a waste of time!!!!

 

 

I just bought the Surefire M80 rail - boy am I pissed.
